William "Bill" Dodson Newell

William "Bill" Dodson Newell, 67 of Dover, departed this life on January 23, 2022.

Bill, as he was known, was a resident of Dover, North Carolina and was very proud of his community. There he raised his family and spent his days tilling the land and nurturing new life in the crops that he grew. He also served as a volunteer with the Fort Barnwell Volunteer Fire Department.

He was a loving father, grandfather and brother.

Bill leaves to cherish his memory his son, Charlie Ray Newell; daughter, Jessica Lynn Mills (Jeremy); grandchildren, Seth Waylon Norman, Zachary Daniel Newell, Kenley Newell, Annabelle Rose Mills, Amelia Evelyn Mills and Allison Ray Mills; sisters, Myra Botts and Sandra White (Bill); niece, Paige Hales and nephew, Craig Hales.

The family requests donations be made in Bill's memory to the Shriner's Hospital for Children- Philadelphia.
