Teressa Brown Allmon

Precious daughter. Big sister. Loving wife. Wonderful mom. Great friend. And most recently, our guardian Angel. These are a few ways that Teressa has been described by friends and family.

Teressa Brown Allmon was born on January 1st, 1962 in Roanoke, Virginia to Grace Brown and the late George Brown. As a young girl, she and her family moved to Raleigh, North Carolina. Between family trips to Philpott Lake, roller skating with their dad, and even clutching to their Aunt on rides in her convertible, Teressa and her sister, Trina Brown Wood, enjoyed a wonderful childhood. Teressa was a graduate of Sanderson High School before attending Western Carolina University.

In July of 1997, she married Garry Lee Allmon before being blessed with 2 children; Joshua Miles Allmon and Carson Benjamin Allmon. She spent her years as a mother driving her boys back and forth to sport practices and games, braving the wilderness for cub scout camping trips, soaking in the sun whether at the pool or the beach, and caring for all of her family members even in times she could barely care for herself. She somehow, in the midst of her busy life, also found the time to reach over level 700 in her bubble-bursting phone game. Teressa worked as a Secretary at East Wake High School where she loved caring for her other 1200 children.

Teressa, at age 60, was called to meet the Lord on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. She passed peacefully surrounded by all of her immediate family.

Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 pm on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Memorial Baptist Church, 904 Main Street, Maysville, North Carolina 28555. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Interment will follow the service at White Oak Memorial Gardens, 2475 White Oak River Road, Maysville, NC.
