Shorty Riggs

Shorty Riggs, 88, of Maysville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 13, 2022.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Dale Riggs (Susan) of Pollocksville; daughters, Pam Meadows (Greg) of Maysville and Loretta Riggs of Pollocksville; step-daughter, Vicky Johnson (Eric); brothers, Ray Riggs of Jacksonville and Russell Riggs of Pollocksville; sister, Marie Barber of Maysville; 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline H. Riggs; daughter, Peggy Mitchell and son, Duane Riggs.

A Celebration of Shorty's Life will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday July 15, 2022 at Maysville United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the church. Private Interment will follow the service at the Riggs Family Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Justin Meadows and Susie Myers for their help in taking care of our Dad.
