Robbie Lee Andrews

Robbie Lee Andrews (Rob) of New Bern, NC (78 years of age), peacefully left this world for streets of gold and his Savior's presence Friday, April 21, 2023, after an extended illness.
Rob was predeceased by his father and mother, Donald and Hilda Andrews, his brothers Donald and Gregory Andrews, and a very special uncle, Arnold Roberson.
Rob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Loleta; son, Todd (Tonya) Andrews; daughter, Robin (Larry) Meyer; grandchildren, Hailey Andrews, Drew Conway, Caroline Andrews; nephews, Owen Andrews, Andy Andrews, Michael Thornton, Mathew Futrell; nieces, Amy Andrews, Melissa Isaacks, Mary Kathryn Locklear, Ashley Andrews and last but not least, one very special “bonus son”, Todd Conway.
One of Rob’s favorite questions was, "Do you know Jesus? Are you my sister and/or brother in the Lord?" From his mid-twenties until his health no longer would allow it, Rob served multiple times and churches as a deacon, usher, and Sunday school teacher. He especially loved his senior ladies' Sunday school class at Temple Baptist Church in New Bern. There was not a service position he would refuse when requested by his church. Rob was most recently a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in New Bern.
Rob loved his family very much and worked hard to ensure they were provided for and happy. Rob had a knack for leaving folks' belly laughing with his quick wit and constant humor. A person could seldom have the last word with Rob, although his Heavenly Father did with "Well done, thou good and faithful servant." We, the family and friends left behind, grieve our loss, but not as those who have no hope as we will see him again one day in Heaven.
The family will receive loved ones and friends for visitation from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 25th at New Life Church in New Bern at 2911 Old Cherry Pt Road. Immediately following family visitation, a Celebration of Life will be officiated by Rev. Scott Coghill.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that anyone desiring to make a donation in memory of Rob consider doing so to the New Bern Christian Academy Athletic Program.
The family also wishes to acknowledge and thank Kahlert Funerals in Maysville, NC for their compassionate and attentive service with Rob’s care.
