Rev. Linda Joyce Hansley Huffman

Rev. Linda Joyce Hansley Huffman of Maysville, N.C. went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 27, 2021 peacefully & surrounded by her family.

Linda was 69 years old and is survived by her husband of 46 years, William Guy Huffman Jr. of the home; her children, William Guy Huffman III of Maysville, N.C., Susan H. Barrows (George) of Richlands, N.C., Karen E. L. Huffman of Maysville, N.C., Melissa H. Jones of Morganton, N.C.; two grandchildren, Lily Meracle & Willow Barrows, both of Richlands, N.C.; two sisters, Judy H. Betts (John) of Morehead City, N.C. and Sally H. Odum (Danny) of Maysville, N.C.; also many beloved nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Lester Lee Hansley Sr. and Rev. Myrtle M. Hansley, founders of White Oak Trinity Independent Baptist Church of Maysville, N.C. Linda was preceded in death by two brothers, Lester Lee Hansley Jr. and Bobby Lee Hansley Sr.

Linda grew up in Jones County, N.C., graduated from Jones Senior High School & was crowned Miss Jones County. She went on to attend Coastal Carolina Community College where she received a degree in Dental Assisting. Linda worked as a dental assistant and receptionist for many years at Morgan Family Dentistry in Maysville, N.C.

Linda was Assistant Pastor and then Pastor, of White Oak Trinity Independent Baptist Church of Maysville, N.C. for a combined total of 33 years beginning in 1983.

Linda loved spending time with her family, studying the Bible and witnessing to others and spreading God’s word and His promise of salvation.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 30th from 1-2 pm at First Baptist Church of Maysville, N.C. Celebration of Life will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow the service at White Oak Memorial Gardens.
