Raymond Earl Coleman

Raymond Earl Coleman, 65, passed away peacefully at home on September 7, 2022. He was born on December 11, 1956, in Onslow County, son of Robert “Ed” Coleman and Margie Carroll Coleman.
Raymond graduated from White Oak High School, Class of 1975. Following high school, he married his sweetheart Brenda Barber. This past July, they celebrated 44 years of marriage.
Throughout his life, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, wood working, and taking care of his animals. His family was the light of his life. To know Raymond, was to love him. He was a loving man who would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need. Most days you could find him under a shade tree in his blue jeans, working on a project, or hanging out with his best buddies Tony and Mike.
He was an exceptional carpenter, steam pipe insulator, softball coach, card player, pool shark, and prankster. But most of all, Raymond was the best husband, Daddy and Papa to his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert “Bobby” Coleman. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Coleman and 2 daughters, Melissa Brannen of Maysville and her husband Kevin Brannen, Crystal Bright of Jacksonville and her husband Daniel Bright. 4 grandchildren, Kalle, Isabel, Kevin, and Lincoln. Also 2 sisters, Juanita Quade (Gary Quade) and Janice Collins (Michael Collins); and many nieces and nephews.
A remembrance visitation will be held on September 10, 2022 at Kahlert Funeral Home in Maysville from 10am – 11:30am. All friends and family of Raymond are invited to attend.
