Penny Marie (Alfred) Montgomery

Mrs. Penny Marie (Alfred) Montgomery, age 52, of New Bern, NC, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2021, at Carolina East Medical Center. Penny was born in New Bern, NC on March 3, 1969. She was a caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Penny enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She adored animals and loved to make sure they had food to eat (even if she didn’t always know what she was feeding). Penny was a warmhearted person who found joy in helping others and would give the coat off her back.

Penny was preceded in death by her father, Fred Alfred. Penny is survived by her husband, Victor Montgomery; her son, Shawn Alfred-Urban (Matthew Urban); her mother, Doris Alfred; her sister, Connie Richard (Tim Richard); her four nieces, Kaitlyn Richard, Amanda McKee, Maghan Perkins and Ashley Whaley; and her three nephews, Matthew McKee, Jared Montgomery, and Nathen Montgomery.

A celebration of life will be held privately for Family and Friends.
