Murray M. Benton, Sr.

Murray M. Benton, Sr., 87 of Ft. Barnwell, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021.

Murray was a retired farmer, avid Tarheel and New York Yankees fan.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Joanne Nobles (Johnny Byrd) and son, Murray Benton, Jr.; grandchildren, Jordan, Justin, Nicholas, Heather (Tristan); great-grandson, Asher; sister, Estelle Peede; 4 special nieces, Sandy, Patsy, Kim and Lisa; 2 special friends, Bobby Kilpatrick “BK” and Charles Broadway along with many other family and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, October 11th, 2021, at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston. The family will be receiving friends following the service at the cemetery.
