Mom Em

Mom Em, 80, of Cove City, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021, peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

Mom was born in Battambang, Cambodia to the late father, Thoun Em and mother, Von Veuk. He will be remembered as a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He was devoted to his Buddhist practice, which he was a pioneer that touched so many through his strength, encouragement, and support.

Surviving are his wife, Lon Leng of Cove City; daughter, Kolap Rose Leng of Cove City; son Theun Em of Siemreap, Cambodia; grandchildren, Sokkhontar Leng, Linnessa Pol, Ashley Pol, Sean Sutton, Alex Pol; nieces and nephews, Yorn Leng, Seng Chet; grandniece and grandnephew Sidney James Chatfield, Sombath Tham Chatfield, Maly Leng, Sophal Leng; grandniece, Ellowyn Tham Chatfield, Amelia Rose Chatfield, Kaylee Leng.

He was always laughing smiling, a happy guy, never would ever hurt a fly, loved animals, gardening, crafting. Always kept busy, but would always, always drop what he’s doing to help someone.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Kahlert Funeral Chapel in Maysville.
