Mary “Annette” Kellum Bright

Mary "Annette" Kellum Bright, age 84, of Jacksonville, NC passed away peacefully on November 23, 2020 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington, NC after a long fight with Alzheimer's and Vascular Dementia.  She was born on June 7, 1936 and preceded in death by parents Clayton and Mary Kellum and her son, Tony Randall Bright.  The family would like to thank Stonebridge Assisted Living and Memory Care in Hampstead, NC for taking excellent care of our Mama and Mema during her residence.  We also thank the many doctors, nurses and nursing assistants that cared for her during this difficult time.  She leaves behind her loving husband of almost 66 years, Lewis Allen Bright of the home, sisters Lonell Jones, Vesta Bright and her husband Sam of Jacksonville, and Bertha Wiggins of Winslow, Maine; her three sons and their wives Danny and Lydia Bright of Maysville, Marty and Sandra Bright of Fuquay-Varina, and Kevin and Jaime Bright also of Maysville.  Her grandchildren and their spouses, Daniel and Crystal, Hannah and Kyle, John Michael and Larissa, Mallory, and Cameron will forever hold her in their hearts.  Mema was well-loved by her great grandchildren, Isabel, Lincoln, Nolan, Natalie, Bayla and Vander.  All of us she loved and touched deeply. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25th at White Oak Community Church in Maysville, NC.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park in Jacksonville, NC.
