Marvin Eugene Stanley

Marvin Eugene Stanley passed away peacefully at Pruitt Health Hospice in New Bern, North Carolina on Thursday August 19, 2021.

Marvin was born on December 8th, 1956 to Marvin “Bobby” and Jo Ann (Harris) Stanley of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. After graduating high school, Marvin served his country aboard the USS Fiske, in the US Navy.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, James and Jo Ann Watkins, of Stroh Indiana; A son, Marvin (Julie) Stanley of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; A daughter, Shannon (Stevens) Hobbs, also of Roanoke Rapids; A daughter, Nikki (Reggie) Stanley of Smithfield, North Carolina; A brother, Eric (Brenda) Carbone of Indiana; A sister, Penny (Glenn) Watkins of Indiana; A Sister, Kimberly (Chuck) Stevens of Indiana; A sister, Rhonda May, also of Indiana. He is also survived by several grandkids, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin “Bobby” Stanley, two brothers, Mike and Billy Stanley.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Linda Mozingo for providing Marvin comfort in his final days.

He was a loving grandfather and will be missed by many.

The family will have a private ceremony at a later date.
