Lamont O'Neil Ward

Lamont O'Neil Ward was born February 25, 1992 and went home to be with his Heavenly Father on November 16, 2021.

Lamont grew up in Jones County and was educated in the Jones County School System.

Lamont found God at an early age. When he talked to you it was always about the Lord. He was a fun, loving person and loved to make you laugh. He cared deeply for his family and was always a caregiver to those who needed him. Lamont was the oldest of three boys. He had a very close and special bond with his two brothers. When you saw one, you saw them all.

He is preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Alonza J. Ward and his great-grandmother Lucy M. Ward. Also, two uncles, James H. Ward Sr. and Johnny L. Ward.

He leaves a big family that he loved dearly: his mother and step-father, Kitena and Gilbert Morton; two brothers, Emmanuel R. Ward and Dionta D. Morton; grandparents, Linda and James Wilson; uncles, Issac C. Ward, Jesse L. Ward, Larry D. Ward, Lonnie L. Ward and Willie E. Ward; aunts, Tena L. Tucker, Mary A. Collins, Patricia Ward and Melody Ward; a very special great-aunt, Blanche Perkins; special great-great-aunt, Lillie Bell Bender and his cousins that meant so much to him.

Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday November 22, 2021 at the Haiti Cemetery, 2nd Avenue, Trenton, NC.
