Joseph "Josey" Edward Baysden

Joseph “Josey” Edward Baysden, 35, of New Bern, passed away on January 7, 2022, in Bridgeton.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 3321 Neuse Blvd New Bern NC with the David McCants of Two Rivers Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Kahlert Funerals & Cremations of Maysville.

Josey was born in New Bern to Freda Jolly Sherman of Dover and Jimmy Baysden of Vanceboro on August 7, 1986. He went to school at West Craven High. He worked as an ironworker/construction worker for16 years. He had a love for the outdoors, fishing, and hunting. He will be remembered for working hard and spending time with his children and his dog. He also shared a love for riding motorcycles with his dad.

Josey is preceded in death by his Grandparents Kathenia and Bobby Jolly, Margaret and Edward Baysden, and his sister Sara Sherman.

Josey is survived by his children Haley, Jacob, and Emma Baysden; his brother and sisters, Amber Baysden, Tabitha Baysden, and Jon Sherman II; his parents as well as Vicky Carawan and other extended family.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the RCS of New Bern.
