Joseph Hardison

Joseph ‘Joe Boy’ Hardison went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 15, 2023. He was born September 13, 1935 to Captain Kirby and Grace Hardison in Sneads Ferry, NC. Joe Boy's love of forestry was only surpassed by his love for his family. His favorite title of all was that of Pop.

He is survived by his wife Hazel Harris, siblings Harold Hardison, Virginia Ayer’s, Patricia Godsey, Geraldine Hill, son Dannie Hardison, daughter Pamela Sanders, step son Billy Harris, step daughter Michelle Harris, grandchildren Jennifer Jones (Johnnie), William Sanders (Kim), Laura Ingold (PM), John Sanders (Rachel), Jason Cushard, and Andy Sanders (Karla). Great grandchildren Shannon Ingold, Codi-Lane Jones, Alexia Ingold, Jacob Jones (Caiden), Carly Sanders, Emma Sanders, Ava Stephens, Cora Stephens, and Charlotte Sanders. Great-Great granddaughter Evangeline Bibbs.

Joe Boy is preceded in death by his parents, loving first wife  Mary Ann Hardison, sisters Dorothy Cernoch & Bertha Harper, son Joseph Lyndall Hardison, son-in-law Johnny Sanders,  daughter Sue Sherrian Hardison, great grandson Johnnie Jones Jr.

He never met a stranger and his love of the Lord and family was evident to all that met him. Although he will be greatly missed we celebrate his homecoming with the Lord.

The family will receive visitors from 10 AM to 11:45 AM on Monday, March 20 at Verona Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held at noon that same day.
