Johnny was born in Maysville to John and Etta Mae Toler on July 16, 1948. He was 1 of 7 children and loved his family immensely. Our daddy went to have his first date with Janie Carroway on August 15, 1965 and later married his lifetime sweetheart on February 17, 1967. Our daddy was such a wonderful "daughter-daddy." He loved us so much. Paula was born first, then Denise and "the baby", Jonie. He has 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Johnny worked as a construction superintendent with Trader Construction for 44 years and was a lifetime Loco Volunteer Firefighter for 35 plus years. Our daddy loved our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of Memorial Baptist Church in Maysville where he served as a deacon.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Janie Toler of the home; daughters, Paula Kay Mason of Wilmington, Stephanie Denise Monette of Maysville and Jonie Raye Toler of Maysville; brother, Lewis Toler of Hookerton; sisters, Edna Miller of Comfort, Mary Collins of Maysville and Doris Jones of Maysville; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
