Janice (Jan) Spence Parson

Janice (Jan) Spence Parson, 71 passed away on May 3rd, 2022, peacefully at home surrounded by her family after a long battle with chronic illness.

Janice was born July 19, 1950, in Neuse Township, NC, to Eugene and Margaret Spence.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Raymond Alex Parson, daughter Amber Parson Morton (husband Paul Kelly Morton), two grandchildren, Kaitlyn Elaine White and Jacob Lewis White and sister, Judy Spence McCabe.

She had a successful career as a hairdresser and salon owner in New Bern NC, from 1973 until her retirement in 2006. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing music with her friends and family, as well as fishing on the Bay River. She enjoyed quilting, and was a member of the Craven County Quilters Guild.

Graveside Service will be held at 10: 00 am on Friday, May 6, 2022, at Greenleaf Memorial Park Lakeside Chapel, New Bern, NC.
