James Edward Sexton

James Edward Sexton went to heaven to be with his mom and daughter, Laura on Friday, April 14, 2023.

Eddie is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Lee Sexton, his mom, Irene Thomas, his daughter, Laura Ann Sexton, his brother, Jerry Sexton and special friend, Billy Smith.

Eddie was born on November 22,1958, in the mountains of West Virginia. He moved with his mom as a young boy to make Richlands, North Carolina his home. Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Elizabeth Jones Sexton of the home; son, Charles Sexton of the home; daughter, Mary Pittman and her husband, Chris of Richlands; daughter, Miracle Dunning of Richlands; grandchildren, Corina, Hayley, Travis, Aaliyah, Kobe, Chelsea, Rylan and Jackson; brothers, Weston Thomas and his wife, Angel of Richlands, Ronald Sexton of Arkansas; sisters, Tammy Thomas of Virginia, Barbara Sexton Perkins of Virginia, Bobbie Boone of West Virginia, Debbie Sexton of West Virginia and Joyce Sexton of Ohio and brother in law, Richard Briggs of Richlands.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Pastor Donald and the staff at Carolina Rivers Nursing Home in Jacksonville, NC.

James will be cremated, and no services are scheduled at this time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to assist with final expenses to Kahlert Funerals & Cremations, 308 Main Street Maysville, NC.
