James E. Thompson Sr.

James E. Thompson Sr., 74, of New Bern, formerly of Massachusetts, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 23, 2023.

He is the son of the late Harold Eugene Thompson and Ruth Ann (Gugliotti) Thompson. Jim leaves behind his wife Maureen (Olson) Thompson and four children, Julie E. Thompson of New Bern, NC, James E. Thompson Jr. and his wife Marcia of New Bern, NC, Andrea M. Wilson of Senoia, GA, Jacqueline E. (Thompson) Padilla and her husband Marzio of Palm Springs, FL.

Also, six grandchildren: Cortney & Jon Thompson, Ashalena Rua, Alicia Wilson, Sabastian & Amelia Padilla. He also leaves behind 4 sisters, Patricia Jerrett, Dianne Land, Jean Marie Vail, Ruth Ann Williams, and brother, William Thompson, lots of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on January 28th, 2023, 12 noon at Tabernacle Baptist Church, casual attire.
