Jackie (Jack) Harold Palmer

Jackie (Jack) Harold Palmer, 82, of New Bern, passed away on January 02, 2022.

He was born on June 26, 1939 to the late Belve Mark Palmer and Nina Belle McGhee Palmer in Red Ash, Virginia.

Services will be January 05, 2022 at Temple Church in New Bern, NC, with Pastor Darryl Radford officiating. The family will receive family and friends one hour prior to the service (at 1:00 pm) followed by a service at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Greenleaf Memorial Park with Military Honors.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Hunt Palmer; one son, Howard Michael Palmer (Dawn); two daughters, Lisa Michelle Palmer Edwards (Charles Cyril III), and Melissa Ann Agee; two granddaughters, Caitlyn Olivia Agee and Sierra Sharon Palmer; three grandsons, Wade Evan Palmer, Jarod Colby Palmer and Jackson Clay Agee; one step-grandson, Charles Cyril Edwards IV (Allison); and one great-step grandson, Chapel Graydon Edwards. Also, two sisters, Sandra Teresa Block (Stewart) and Donna Sherie Gouveia; two sisters-in-law, Willie Mae Palmer and Sharon Palmer; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will be missed by all.

He was predeceased by three brothers, Belve Mark Palmer, Jr., Benny Eugene Palmer, and Freddie Joe Palmer; three sisters, Helen Frances Driver, Shirley Ann York, and Wilma Jean Newbery. His strong faith in God Our Savior was always present and he now has God’s peaceful rest. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather, and good friend to many. His love of music and excellence in making guitars, and performing on the musical instrument pedal steel guitar, earned him admiration of all musicians. He proudly served in the United States Navy.
