Hazel Ann Bender Atkinson

Child of God, Hazel Ann Bender Atkinson, daughter of Vine Allen Bender, Jr. and Delphia Eubank Bender, joyously left to be with her Heavenly Father at 8:30 a.m., Friday February 4, 2022.

​ Hazel Ann, 83, of Pollocksville, was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Edward Harvey Atkinson, Sr. Hazel is survived by her children: Edward Harvey Atkinson, Jr. (wife, Deborah), and Clara Ann Ivey (Fiancé, Michael Klimek), her grandson: Everette AllenAtkinson “Evan” and wife, Jamie Reeder Atkinson, her granddaughters: Heather Marie Hitchens, Noel Lynn Ivey (Fiancé, Nick Beauford), and Starla Brooke Ivey, her siblings:Thelma Vine Bender Edmondson (husband, Edwin “Ed”) and Vine Allen Bender, III “Brother” (Jean Butler Bender, wife), and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

​ We wish to express our sincere appreciation for all your love and support during our time of loss. We would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff of Craven County Hospice for all your care and support.

​ A Worship Service in celebration of Hazel’s life will be held at Pollocksvile Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday February 9, 2022.
