Elmer Ray Hudson

Elmer Ray Hudson, 74, of Richlands, departed this life on February 23, 2023.

He leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Alvis L. Hudson and wife, Dinna of New Bern; sister, Elaine Darlington and husband, John of Jacksonville; nieces, Regina Lee, Cindy Smith, Rhonda Jenkins, and Cynthia Atkinson; nephews, Duke Darlington, Gerald Thomas, Brian Thomas, and Eddie Ray Jones; 11 great-nieces and nephews, 2 great-great nieces and 3 great-great nephews.

Elmer is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Elma Hudson; two sisters, Norma Jane Jones and Evelyn Hudson Lewis; one niece, Crystal Elaine Darlington; two nephews, Ronald Dean Jones, and Jerry Allen Jones.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 27, 2023, at Kahlert Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bobby Williams officiating. The family will receive friends half an hour prior to the service, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Graveside Interment at 3:00 pm will follow the service at Onslow Memorial Park in Jacksonville.
