Elizabeth Anne Perry

Elizabeth Anne Perry, 72 of New Bern, passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, December 30, 2022, in Chapel Hill surrounded by her 3 girls.
Anne was born March 16, 1950, in Bertie County to Henry Leon Perry and Esther Elizabeth Perry in Colerain, NC.
After graduating from Bertie High School, Anne attended Hicks Beauty Academy in Norfolk. A self-taught seamstress, Anne took great gratification in her work. Each stitch was done with love, from simple hems to prom dresses for her girls. She would often describe herself as being "sew blessed". When she wasn't sewing, she enjoyed kayaking the Neuse River, with her longtime companion Tim Gibbons, who preceded her in death just a few short hours before.
Of all the things she was, "Granny Anne" was her greatest title. She beamed with pride at the mention of her 4 grandchildren; the love she had for Carolina and Perry, Tanner, and Adalynne is immeasurable.
Anne is survived by her 3 daughters; Sherrie Daughtry of Washington, NC, Emily Brock (Kendall) of Newsoms, VA and Rebecca Liverman (Owen) of Harrisville, NC; sisters, Lynette Brabble (Pat) of Ahoskie, Teresa Farless (Stuart) of Colerain, brother, Vann Perry (Tina) Colerain, her mother, Esther Perry of Colerain, and 4 grandchildren, Carolina and Perry Daughtry, Tanner Brock, and Adalynne Liverman; along with Jim Koenig, the father of her girls.
Anne was predeceased by her father Henry Leon Perry, sister Kathy Perry and brothers Don Perry, and Ronnie Perry.
Anne was a great friend to many and will be missed tremendously by all who loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be at 3pm Sunday, January 8th at Wakelon Pentecostal Holiness Church, Colerain NC with Rev. Sammy Williams. Memorial donations are welcomed to: Newsoms Ruritan Club
