David Ray Huffman

David Ray Huffman, 70, of Maysville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 22, 2022.
Ray, as he was known by many, was more than a husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and boss to those who knew him. He was a role model for treating others with dignity and respect — while maintaining a fun-loving sense of humor. Ray did everything with great passion. He was an incredibly hard worker and made a name for himself as a logger, even owning his own logging business. He had the privilege of working alongside his children who are carrying on the family tradition and will pass the Huffman legacy on through the family. He enjoyed a wide range of hobbies including a love for fishing, being outdoors, working on the farm, and restoring and driving cars and motorcycles.
Ray will forever be remembered as a man who cherished life, his family, and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Ray leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Linda L. Huffman of the home; daughter, Renee Huffman-Taylor of Maysville; sons, Jeremy Huffman and wife, Charity, and Pakston Huffman and wife, Tiffany all of Maysville; brother, Percy S. Huffman III of Maysville; sister, Charlotte Provost and husband, Cleve of Stella; 5 grandchildren, Braxton, Carter, Sadie, Raylan, and Madisyn.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at White Oak Community Church in Maysville. Burial will follow the service at the Huffman Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, February 25, 2022, at White Oak Community Church, 6181 New Bern Hwy, Maysville, NC 28555.
