Clarence Jackson "Buddy" Phillips III

Clarence Jackson "Buddy" Phillips III, 62, of New Bern, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 8, 2021.

Buddy was known for his big loving heart and generosity in helping others. He loved gardening and could fix almost anything.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Connie Phillips Roberts; two sisters, Shirlene McKeel of New Bern and Judy Jones of New Bern and two grandchildren, Katie and Jason Roberts..

A Celebration of Buddy's Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday October 16, 2021 at Faith Free Will Baptist Church in New Bern with Pastor Dwayne Boyd officiating.

"As the death angel prepared to call out to him God said no! He’s not ready. He’s struggling. I made a covenant with his parents. They prayed and prayed, many nights crying out to me on behalf of their baby boy. I will honor the prayers of the righteous! As some days went by God called out to His messenger and said go bring my child home. The angel said why not let him have more time because of his parents' prayers and God said tomorrow may be too late. You see God knows exactly the perfect time and for some, yesterday may be too early and tomorrow may be too late so he said today is the day. Our hearts may not be ready when God calls our loved ones home but we have to trust, His timing is perfect!! We love you Buddy and will see you again in Heaven!"
