Christine Anne Moberly Jones Coley

Christine Anne Moberly Jones Coley of Waynesville, Georgia, formerly of Kinston, North Carolina Passed peacefully on May 23, 2023, at the age of 71. She was born on March 1, 1952, in New Bern, North Carolina.

She is preceded in death by her life partner, Walter Johnson, her husband, Alfonso Willie Coley, the father of her children Robert Earl Jones Jr., her son Lil Robert, her parents, Pearl and Ollie Moberly, her sisters, Shirley Gray and Ruth McCubbins, and Edna Gentry, 1 grandchild and 1 great-grandchild, and daughter-in-law, Brittnay Noel Lipford.

Among her survivors are four children, Jeremy Jones (Heather), Chenona Baldwin (Gerald), Laura Jones Wilson (Zerney), and Raven Jones; and adopted child Jessica Holland (BJ); her sister, Priscella Parker (Lauther); her brothers, Robert Moberly (Robin) and Ora Moberly (Sally). She has 8 grandchildren, James Stokes, Hope Daniels (Brandon), Cherokee Baldwin, Cammie Stokes (Maurisha), Portrate Stokes, Brianna Jones, Matthew Jones and Michael Jones, Malachi Lipford; four great-grandchildren; special friend/ Sis Beth, special friend Joe Lewis and her fur babies all to mourn her passing.

Christine was a 1981 graduate of Craven Community College in Auto body repair setting the record of being the first woman to graduate in autobody repair. She took care of elderly people until 2000. She also has a certificate in real estate. She was working on her bachelor’s in criminal justice.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Greenleaf Memorial Park Lakeside Committal Chapel. The burial will follow at Greenleaf Memorial Cemetery in New Bern, North Carolina.

The Family will receive friends on Monday, May 29, 2023, at Kahlert Funeral Chapel from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

At other times, the family will be receiving friends from 12:00 noon on Sunday, May 28th leading up to the service at 327 Windley Road Washington, NC 27889.
