Bradford "Brad" Jenkins

Bradford “Brad” Jenkins, 83, of Trenton, went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 10, 2022.

Brad was a loving man with a huge heart for the Lord, his family and Friendship Free Will Baptist Church where he was a member. He was a devoted and great man of faith and truly lived out 1 Corinthians 15:58, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.” He never met a stranger and loved to make people laugh and smile. Brad was a lifelong resident of Jones County. There he raised his family and shared his love for the outdoors with them. He spent most of his working life as an Assistant Ranger for the US Forest Service. His life truly reflected the US Forest Service motto: Caring for the Land and Serving people.

Although he will be greatly missed his legacy will live on through his greatest joy: his family. His gracious and loving manner will forever be engrained in the hearts of those who knew him.

Brad leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Jean Jenkins of the home; sons, Brad Jenkins and wife, Kay of Ocean Isle Beach and Michael Jenkins and wife, Bryson of Trenton; brother, David Jenkins and wife, Elizabeth of Clayton; sisters, Ruth Ellender of Raleigh and Debby Jenkins of Clayton; grandchildren, Peyton Jenkins; Meredith Werline and husband, Tyler and their children, Emilia and Weston; Skylar Jenkins and her child, Louella; Layne Jenkins; Levi Jenkins and wife, Breanna and one great-grandson on the way.

Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Friendship Original Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery (139 Ten Mile Fork Road, Trenton, NC) with Rev. Don Fader officiating.
