Barbara Ann Brown

Barbara Ann Brown, 67, of Swansboro, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022, at the Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern.

Memorial service was held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at the Swansboro United Methodist Church with Revs. Kevin Baker and Regina Harrison officiating.

Barbara was a member of the Swansboro United Methodist Church for many years. She was a member of the choir, the Emmaus class and the United Women in Faith Charlotte Fields/Minnie Jones circle. The picture below, taken at Fort Fisher, North Carolina was the picture that made her decide to move to North Carolina. Originally from the Cleveland, Ohio area (Chesterland) she moved to Emerald Isle and then to Swansboro, where she truly enjoyed living her life on the east coast.

She is survived by her aunt, Mary Elizabeth Worth of Altamonte Springs, Florida, brother Jeffery Brown (Kathy) of Sanger, California, sisters, Susan Zlocki (Zachary) and Debra Blakeway (Walter) of Cleveland, Ohio area; Nieces and nephews: Ryanne Mancero (Alberto), Scott Brown (Jaime) of Sanger and Clovis, California, Sara Solomon (Jonathan), James Solomon, Lauren Dean (Brent), Kurt Blakeway (Jeanette), Max Blakeway all of Cleveland, Ohio area and Brianna Blakeway of Denver, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Brown, father, Robert Brown, and niece, Victoria Blakeway.
