Annie Guelda Riggs Yancey

Annie Guelda Riggs Yancey, 84, peacefully left this world to go to her heavenly home on Friday March 12, 2021. She is joined again in heaven with the love of her life, husband of 62 years, Crafton Yancey Sr.
She was also preceded in death by her mother, Annie Kathleen Riggs; father, Ivey Riggs; step-mother, Christine Riggs; Aunt and Uncle, Beulah and George Roberson; Grandmammy Missouri Riggs (who raised her) and brother, Sammy Jones.
She was a precious wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was also a treasured member of Triune Holiness Church for over 30 years and always considered the church her family. She was an incredible cook and home maker who enjoyed fixing meals for her family and feeding anyone else who stopped in. Her kind spirit, sweet smile and heart warming giggle always brought sunshine to the ones who were blessed enough to know her.
She is survived by her daughter, Angie Bender and husband, Joey; son, Carl and wife, Pam; three grandchildren, Carla Henries and her husband, Ricky, Kelsey Wyatt and her fiance, Rodney and CC Yancey; three great-grandchildren, Raenly Henries, Alaina Yancey and River Jones; five step-grandchildren, twelve step great-grandchildren and many more that call her “Mema.” She is also survived by her sisters, Sally Heath, Christine Moore and husband, Bill and brother, Ivey Riggs Jr. and wife, Cindy.
Her family would like to thank Dr. Craig Zavelo and his staff for taking such great care of our sweet angel.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Triune Holiness Church in Maysville with Pastor Jerry Smith officiating. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow the service at Greenleaf Memorial Park in New Bern.
