David was born in Morgan City Louisiana on November 10th, 1948. His father was Clarence “Boo Boo” Guillory and his mother, Connie Garcia-Rice. He is survived by his wife Debby Guillory; his three sons, David Joseph Guillory Jr., Anthony Lynn Guillory and Jonathan Guillory. He had 13 grandchildren Destiny and Jake Reno, Danielle Guillory, David Duke Guillory, Anthony Guillory, Andrew Guillory, Michelle Guillory, Jack Louis Guillory, Klarissa, Karina, Adrian Guillory, Brianna Guillory, and Cierra Guillory. He had three great-grandchildren, Penelope Sophia Guillory, Ryder Lee Guillory and Faith Guillory. His brothers, Robert Perez Garcia, Orville Dean "Junior" Rice, Gloria Pervis, Mari Lou, Georgiana Vega. David was raised by his father "Boo Boo " in Morgan City, Louisiana. At a young age he learned how to hunt and fish and everything that had to do with the Arcadian Cajun lifestyle. David was proud to say he was a Cajun. During his teen years they moved to California where Clarence married Etta Mae. David went to Delano High School where he graduated and met Geraldine Linda Chavez. They had two sons David and Tony. David belonged to the Retail Clerks Union as a butcher. He even started his own Meat Market. He then started a new career in the car business, where he was very successful as a used car manager. In 2003 David met the love of his life Debby Butler. These two lovebirds got married on November 14th, 2004. This inseparable couple decided to take a journey across America. They settled North Carolina where they currently resided. They were members of Christian Outreach Ministries in New Bern, North Carolina, where David would often lead worship with his voice that sounded like Elvis on Saturday mornings. But they both blossomed every time they had the opportunity to spend time with their kids. The California trips, the visits back and forth, and the phone calls and facetime where something they both cherished and still do to this day. Family was important to David. One of David's favorite statement was "Life is too short to be mad at everybody." David went home to be with his Lord on March 2nd, 2020 at 11:25 in the morning. Services will be held in North Carolina on Friday, March 6, 2020, 11:00 am, at New Bern Shrine Club, 2102 S. Glenburnie Rd., New Bern. California and Louisiana to be discussed coming dates.
