Elaine Sherry Barker

Elaine Sherry Barker was born on August 14 ,1941 in Dover, NH and passed away at home on January 30, 2020 at the age of 78.

Elaine married the love of her life, Ralph Barker on February 18, 1961.

Although she will be greatly missed her life will live on through her greatest joy: her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Ralph; sons, Don Barker and wife Lori of Annandale, MN and Ralph Barker and wife Wanda of Wendell, NC; daughter, Jessica Powell and husband, Ken of Winston-Salem, NC; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; sibilings, Agatha Townsend of New Bern, Karen Boodey (Phil) of Barrington, NH, Joyce Perkins (Adam) of Durham, NH, Nan Sherry of Dover, NH and brother-in-law, Paul Nicholson.

She is preceded in death by her son, Jery Barker, daughter, Barbara Barker, granddaughter, Sydney Powell, brother, Michael Sherry and sister, Barbara Nicholson.

Service will be held on at 3:00 p.m. on Monday February 3, 2020 at Faith United Methodist Church in New Bern. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Elaine's memory to the Brenner Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 571021 Winston-Salem, NC 27157.
