Forrest G. Workman

Forrest Gordon Workman, 70 of Maysville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 16, 2019.

Forrest was a loving man with a huge heart for the Lord, his family and Grants Creek Baptist Church where he was a member. He was a devoted and great man of faith and served as a Deacon for many years. Forrest was also active with the Baptist Men and lived out 1 Corinthians 15:58, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.” He never met a stranger and loved to make people laugh and smile. Although he will be greatly missed his legacy will live on through his greatest joy: his family. His gracious and loving manner will forever be engrained in the hearts of those who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Susan Workman of Maysville; daughter, Kathryn Jensen and husband Lars of Sanford; four sisters, Brenda Wagner of Hillsborough, Sharon Farley of Chapel Hill, Robbi Badgett of Hillsborough and Lorraine Ledford of Winston Salem; 2 grandchildren, Jake Jensen and Lila Jensen.

A Celebration of Forrest’s Life will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday March 21, 2019 at Grants Creek Baptist Church in Maysville with Pastor Steve Grissom officiating. A reception will be held in the fellowship hall immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Grants Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 1401 Old 30 Rd Maysville, NC 28555.
