He is survived by his son, Walter Wood of Jacksonville; daughters, Fay Wood of Jacksonville and Wanda Davis of Richlands; sisters, Carolyn Shepard and Doris Padrick both of Jacksonville; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
