Alonzo Jermaine Jordan

Alonzo J. Jordan, the son of Tani Scott (Cleveland) was born January 20, 1980 in Onslow County. He departed this life on August 4, 2018.

Alonzo, as he was often called “John Boy”,

enjoyed life and was a bundle of joy. His sayings were, “You can change”, “She got legs and knows how to use them” and “I’m a soul man.” He brought joy and laughter to many and will be well missed by his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Tani Scott (Cleveland) of Hubert, NC; brother, Lorenzo Burton of Jacksonville, NC; one niece; grandmother, Cloria Pointe of Belgrade, NC; three aunts, Barbara Dickinson (Joseph) of Hubert, NC, Dora Reed (Moses) of Danville, IL and Georgia Hill (Gossip) of Long Point, NC; two uncles, James Jordan (Sylveria) of Jacksonville, NC and Van Jordan (Allison) of Belgrade, NC; and a host of other aunts, uncles and cousins.

A special thanks goes to Alonzo’s caregiver, Kee Kee and group home and day program in Jacksonville, NC.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday August 13, 2018 at House of God in Belgrade. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment will follow the service at the Wooten Family Cemetery.
