Janet Lynn Diaz Schack

Janet Lynn Diaz Schack, 47 of Trenton, NC went to join our Lord on Sunday, April 29, 2018. Janet was born in Portsmouth, VA, October 7, 1970 to Rick Diaz and Helen Diaz of New Bern, NC. She attended NBHS in New Bern , NC.

Janet had such a beautiful voice that always came from her heart and soul when singing. She loved her grandchildren very much and her children were her life. Janet loved children and was a substitute teacher for Craven County Schools. All the children loved her and she will be missed by many.

She is survived by her children, Phillip John Schack of New Bern, Joshua Ryan Schack (Aron) of Charlotte, NC, Sarah Lynn Fackler of Langley Air Base (James), and Alex Griffin of the home. Her long-time love, Josh Mason was at her side along with family at her passing. Phillip George Schack the children’s father and best friend was there to the end. Janet is also survived by her parents, Rick and Helen Diaz of New Bern, brother Richard Lee Diaz(Kathy) of New Bern, sister Tina Ballenger Mott(Paul) of New Bern, NC and Christina Maria Jones (John) of Hubert, NC. She has many nieces and nephews that she adored and spoiled. Janet (Grams) loved, spoiled her grandchildren: Kaleb, Matthew, and Logan who will miss their Grams.

The family would like to thank all those that prayed and sent their love and support to Janet Lynn.

A memorial will be held at 11am, Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Riverside United Methodist Church, Avenue A.
