God has a reason for allowing things to happen, we may never understand his wisdom but we simply have to trust his will.
Bobby Gene Klingensmith, son of the late Harvey Lee and Norma Jane Klingensmith, was born on November 5, 1961 in Texas County, MO. He was educated in the Jefferson County, MO Public School System.
He honorably served twenty years in the United States Marine Corps in Desert Storm, Desert Shield and the Gulf War. While he was in the service, he received many commendations including National Defense Service Medal, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Service Award, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Navy Achievement Medal, Navy nit Commendation, Southwest Asia Service medal, Meritorious Uni Commendation, and the Humanitarian Service Medal.
Currently, Bobby was employed with the Marine Corps Community Services, Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories, his devoted wife, Felicia Klingensmith of the home; two daughters, Julie Owens and husband, Cliff Owens (son-in-law) and Veronica Klingensmith; one son, Danny Turner and wife, Adrienne (daughter-in-law); grandchildren, Aiden Bowling, Bella Martin, Abigail Turner and Chris Turner; one brother, Leonard Klingensmith and wife, Sondra; two stepsons, Brandon Hill of Fayetteville, NC and Travares Lane of Kinston, NC; father-in-law, Jimmy Hill of Trenton; brother-in-law, Jimmy Lee Jill Jr. and wife, Keisha of Atlanta, GA; a very special cousin, Sherrie Klingensmith Black; one nephew, Chris Klingensmith and wife, Maureen; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Bobby’s Life will be held at 11 am on Thursday February 15, 2018 at Kahlert Funeral Chapel in Maysville with Rev. Gwendolyn Haddock officiating. Interment will follow at 2 pm at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.
