Evelyn Anita Hudson Lewis

Evelyn Anita Hudson Lewis, 71 of New Bern, departed this life on Friday August 4, 2017.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Elma Hudson and sister, Norma Jones.

Evelyn leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Michael D. Lewis; sons, Gerald Thomas and wife Desiree of New Bern and Brian Thomas and wife Shannon of Trenton; daughter, Cynthia Atkinson and husband Richard of Pollocksville; step-daughter Melissa Mercer and husband Thomas of New Bern; brothers, Elmer Hudson of Richlands and Alvis Hudson and wife Dinna of New Bern; sister, Elaine Darlington and husband John of Jacksonville; sister-in-law Brenda Hardy of Vanceboro; 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter on the way.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday August 7, 2017 at Onslow Memorial Park Chapel with Rev. Jeff Driver officiating.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday August 6, 2017 at Kahlert Funeral Chapel in Maysville.
