Ernest L. “Big Daddy” “Topaw” Reason Sr., 75 of New Bern, passed away on Monday April 17, 2017 at his residence.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday April 20, 2017 at Greenleaf Memorial Park Lakeside Chapel in New Bern. Interment will follow.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Helen Reason; daughter, Michelle Reason Sutton; sons, Len Reason and Ken Reason; brothers, James Irvin Reason, Vernon Ray Reason, Melvin Reason and Reuben Reason; sister, Faye Reason; 9 grandchildren, Austin Sutton, Zachary Sutton, Jaden DePalo, Josh Reason, Mary Lynne Reason, Christopher Parrish, Aiden Reason, Kendell Reason, Kristin Reason Lord; a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

He is predeceased by his brother, James Everson Reason and sisters, Doreathea Reason Wells, Mary Helen Reason Carter and Helen Jean Reason.
