George John Pivarnik

George John Pivarnik was born in the city of Dequesne, PA in Alegheny County, on July 19, 1931. He joined the US Army on July 18th, 1950. He served in the Korean War until discharged, due to combat injuries, on August 24th,1953. He attained the rank of Master Sergeant and received the Korean Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, The Purple Heart and the UN Service Medal. Upon coming home, he met and married Jacque Cowan on Jan 5th, 1957. They moved to the Pittsburg, PA area and started their family. Settled in Rochester, NY and worked in office, business tech and real estate. Retired to New Bern , NC, he enjoyed spending his time golfing at Quaker Neck Country Club, and playing cards at the B.P.O. Elks Club. He is survived by his younger brother, Steven Pivarnik in Huntington PA, his son, Zachary Cowan Pivarnik in Penfield, NY, and Susan Ellen Parker in Pollocksville, NC.
