Mary Roberts Jones

Mary Roberts Jones (aka Moody) daughter of the late Ms. Sophie Bell Roberts and Mr. John Fonville went home to be with the Lord on Thursday September 22, 2016 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Mary was a faithful servant of God and attended

The House of God Church Inc. at 252 Springhill Road Maysville, NC. She joined the church on December 1, 2013. She served on the culinary department and the usher board. Mary loved the church and always made herself available. She was a supporter of the outreach services.

Mary was employed at the Naval Hospital on Camp Lejeune.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother and

father, Ms. Sophie Bell Roberts and Mr. John Fonville.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 20 years, Mr. Pete Jones; brother, Mr. Virgil Roberts;

four sons, David Roberts and wife Tiffane’ Roberts of Stone Mountain, GA, Donald Girard Brown and wife Jessica Brown of Akron, OH, Jeremy Brown and wife Jessica L. Brown of Richlands, NC, and Virgil Brown and wife Amanda Brown of the home; granddaughter, Tanisha Roberts of the home. She was a loving

grandmother to 12 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.
