David Michael Gauvin


DAVID MICHAEL "BEAR" GAUVIN, 68, of Pollocksville, NC, formerly of Pascoag, RI, passed away peacefully at home, on Tuesday, August 30, 2016, after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Roseanne (Montello) Gauvin for 13 years. Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Henry and Sophie (Yoment) Gauvin.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving children Renee Fraser and her husband Duncan III of Beaufort, SC and Dalore Marques of Jacksonville, NC; stepchildren Renee Seddon of North Providence, RI, Rebecca Machado and her husband Anthony of Trenton, NC and Rachel Dunn and her husband Matthew of Pascoag, RI; and cherished grandchildren Shane, Duncan IV, Connor, Ewan, Eagan, Elora, Jovani, Sophia, Olivia, Ella Rae, Alexia, Caleigh, Elizabeth, Keara, Tyler, Lariah and Jameson. He was the dear brother of the late Henry Gauvin, Jr., Marie-Ange Johnstone, Nancy Gauvin, Sandra Pellegrino and Susanne Flynn, all of RI, and Richard Gauvin of Myrtle Beach, SC.

David was a proud United States Air Force veteran and, formerly, a Private Driver for The Village at Waterman Lake in Greenville, RI. He graduated from Mount Pleasant High School, in Providence, RI, in 1966. David was extremely loyal to his family and had so much pride in his seventeen grandchildren.

Bear, our hearts are empty, but heavy with sorrow, at your loss. We will remember your laughter and your humor, such as it was, and hold onto that and smile. We will cherish our memories of you. You will be missed and thought of every day. We love you.

There will be a small service at Broken Spoke Biker Church, 201 Main Street (US-17), Pollocksville, NC, on Friday, September 9, at 5:00 p.m.
