Frank Wayne Springer

Francis (Frank) Wayne Springer, born Oct 30, 1924 in Philadelphia PA passed away on Thursday morning May 26, 2016 in his home in New Bern NC. Frank was predeceased in death by his parents, Francis and Cecelia Springer, and a brother Edward Springer. He is survived by his wife Sherry L. Springer at home, a brother Richard B. (Elizabeth) Springer of Philadelphia, two stepchildren Loyal F. Osterlund III and Dawn Osterlund Martin, and sister-in-law Denise Stone, and grandchildren Alexx Martin and Reese Martin, all of New Bern. Frank was a veteran of WWII where he served in the Pacific. He was proud of his military service and recently had a book about the Pacific Theater published by Amazon which is entitled "MacArthur's Far East Air Force and the Fall of the Philippines". After the war, Frank graduated from the University of Chicago and went on to a successful business career. Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday June 7, 2016, 11 am at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.
