Jim D. Jones

Jim went to be with the Lord on Sunday May 8, 2016 at his home, surrounded by loved ones.

Jim was born in Pollocksville N.C. on December 12, 1928 to the late Farron and Willie Jones. He worked as a carpenter for many years and later retired from civil service. He loved to fish and hunt and spend time with family and friends. Jim enjoyed playing the guitar and the harmonica and loved to share with all he knew. He spent his golden years with his family doing the things he loved……hunting, fishing, playing music and spoiling the grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Jesse Jones and wife Pam of Maysville, and Timmy Jones and wife Jackie of Maysville; Five grandchildren, Kelly, Matthew, Bryan, Amanda and Brittney; Three great grandchildren, Mickayla, Ryan and Rusty; One sister, Meda King of Maysville. He was preceded in death by his wife Flossie B. Jones; grandson, Steven Jones; his parents; six brothers and two sisters.

Services will be held at 7 pm on May 12, 2016 at Kahlert Funerals & Cremations in Maysville with Rev. Bobby Williams officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Private Interment will be held at the Jones Family Cemetery.
