Lester Lee Hansley Jr.

Lester Lee Hansley Jr., 67, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015, at his home in Maysville, NC. Lester was a disabled veteran who served his country in the Armed Forces during Vietnam as a member of the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Betelgeuse (AK-260). He was a Christian man and served proudly as a Deacon of his church and also was an avid fisherman who loved being out on the water.

Lester leaves his wife of 40 years, Donna Hansley (59). They enjoyed a traveling lifestyle their first years before settling back into his hometown of Maysville. He also leaves his children; daughter Bethany Hansley (41) and husband Robert Darling (44), son Craig Hansley (40), daughter Regina Shiderly (37) and husband Stanley Shiderly (35), one grandchild Hannah Darling (18), all of whom are of Maysville, NC. brother Bobby Lee Hansley of Pollocksville, NC, sisters Joyce "Linda" Huffman of Maysville, NC, Judy Betts of Morehead City, NC, and Sally Hansley of Maysville, NC.

Memorial Service will be held 7:00 pm, Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Kahlert Funerals & Cremations Chapel in Maysville.
