James is survived by two daughters, Jamesha Ward of Greenville, NC and Jamila Ward of Portsmouth, VA; 24 sibilings, Oscar Ward, Jerald Ward, Henry Ward, Danny Ward and Darrell Ward all of Pollocksville, NC, Andrea Ward Moore of Belgrade, NC , Jeanette Robertson, Sabrina Robinson, Freddie Duncan, Annie Duncan, Todd Smith, Felicia Simmons all of Jacksonville, NC , Ronnie Duncan of New Bern, NC , Tavaron Ward, Dominque Ward, Yvette Camille, Jillyn Smith all of Charlotte, NC , Anita Duncan of Richlands, NC, David Smith of Knightdale, NC , Muchelle Jones of Miami, FL , Jennifer Smith of Norfolk, VA, Kenneth Ray Duncan of Fayette, MO, Montrey Duncan of Benettsville, SC, and Dedric Ward of West Point, NY.
The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Friday February 13, 2015 at Kahlert Funerals in Maysville.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday February 14, 2015 at Free Will Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 3298 Hwy 58 South Pollocksville, NC .
Interment will follow at the Frank Murphy Sr. Cemetery in Pollocksville.
