Thomas Louis Henderson

Boat on Lake
On Monday, December 15, 2014, Thomas Louis Henderson (58) of Hubert, NC went home to be with his Lord and Savior. Affectionately known to many friends and family as Tom or Tommy, he was a faithful, passionate, yet conservative man who loved God and his family wholeheartedly. He was born May 29, 1956 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Paul F Henderson, Jr (deceased) and his surviving mother Patricia Henderson of Richmond, KY. Being one of eight children he is survived by Mary Pat McKevitt of Clinton, NY, Paul F Henderson, III and Carol of Somerset, KY, Patricia Miljanich of Redwood City, CA, David Henderson of Annandale, VA, Joe Henderson of Bandera, TX, Mary Henderson of Richmond, KY, and Jim Henderson and Terri of Jacksonville, NC. As a son in a military family he was able to travel across this country making new friends along the way. He enjoyed most of his youth spending time exploring, playing ball, or visiting with friends and family at his home in northern Virginia.

When orders moved the family to Jacksonville, NC, Tom was saddened to leave his friends, but quickly added new ones to his life. It was after this move to NC that he met and married the love of his life Charlotte Morton Henderson on October 29, 1977. Together they raised two daughters, Heather Wells who married Jonathan of Stella, NC and Holly Lewis who married Rob of Newport, NC. Family and friends were a big part of his life. He enjoyed making people laugh and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was ready and willing to share with anyone around him the love he had for his Heavenly Father. He will be missed and remembered fondly by his family and friends including the many nieces and nephews and extended family. Funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday December 20, 2014 at Memorial Baptist Church in Maysville with Pastor Woody Whitt officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday December 19, 2014 at the church. Interment will follow the service at the Queens Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hubert. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Memorial of Thomas L Henderson at any Marine Federal Credit Union.
