Homer Glenn Kirk
He was a Deacon and member of Grants Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Maysville. He served his country in the United States Army. He had a big heart and love for everyone. Glenn never met a stranger. A wide range of ages clapped their hands and tapped their toes to the sound of his guitar. Those who heard the sweet sound of his music, couldn't help but smile. He also enjoyed God's creation, which was evident in his love for animals.
He was the owner and operator of Kirk's TV for many years and was currently employed at Liberty Medical of Jacksonville, NC.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Gregory Kirk and Jeremy Bryan Kirk and parents, Cecil Glenn Kirk and Lizzie Rochelle Kirk.
Glenn is survived by his wife and sidekick, Chellie Bryan Kirk of Maysville; one daughter, Holly Kirk Roach and husband, Tommy Roach IV of Richlands; one son, Larry Kirk of Germany; and 7 grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday December 14, 2014 at Grants Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 1401 Old 30 Road Maysville, NC 28555, with Pastor Terry Golden officiating. Interment will follow at the Bryan Family Cemetery, North Bryan Road in Jacksonville.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm on Saturday December 13, 2014 at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to Grants Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
