Eugenia "Gene" Parsons

Eugenia "Gene" Ervin Parsons, 84 of Maysville, passed away on Tuesday December 9, 2014 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

She was a retired school teacher and a member of First Baptist Church in Maysville.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Raynor Parsons; granddaughter ,Angela Jones Miller, grandson, Cpl. Kevin McCray Jones, and sister, Carole Pike.

She is survived by three sons, James Parsons and wife Debbie of Warsaw, Jerry Parsons of Augusta, GA, Raymond "Ray" Parsons and wife Toni of Poquoson, VA; one daughter, Rebecca Jones and husband Morris of Washington; one brother Elbert Ervin and wife Estelle of Richlands; one sister, Ellen Hinson and husband Seth of Florissant, Colorado; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday December 11, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Maysville with Pastor John Lewis and Reverend Woody Whitt officiating. Interment will follow at Dogwood Cemetery in Maysville.

The family will receive friends from 7pm to 8:30 pm on Wednesday December 10, 2014 at Kahlert Funerals & Cremations in Maysville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the CCCC Foundation for the Ervin-Parsons Memorial Scholarship Fund, 444 Western Blvd., Jacksonville, NC 28546.
