Mary Fennell/ Craven County

Mary Scalley Fennell "GrandMary", 78 of New Bern, passed away on Friday September 12, 2014 at her residence surrounded by family.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gregor M. Fennell; five children, Shawn Fennell of Waxhaw, NC, Greg Fennell of Gastonia, NC, Nancy Connell of Randallstown, MD, Marybeth Morris of Gaithersburg, MD, Julie St. Vrain of Woodstock, GA; 5 grandchildren, Courtney, Michael, Bryan, Ali and Bailey; and 1 great- grandchild, Story. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Tommy Scalley, Bobby Scalley, and sister Julie Ewers.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday September 15, 2014 at St. Paul Catholic Church in New Bern. Following the services friends and family will be recieved back at the residence. Private burial will take place at a later time.
