Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 13, 2014, 11:00 am, at the Kahlert Funerals & Cremations Chapel in Maysville, with the Rev. Sam Jones officiating.
Interment will follow at 2:00 pm at Jones Family Cemetery, 2253 Mary Tate Road, Pink Hill, NC.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Blanie & Essie Edwards; brother, Jerry Edwards and Grandson Christian McAllister.
Survived by the love of his life, wife Sue Edwards; two daughters, Susan Edwards of California and Tiffany Davidson of Oriental, NC; Stepchildren, Brenda Samaniego of Arizona, Patricia Negera of Bellauthar, NC, Joey Ginn of Greenville, NC, John Ginn of Arizona; two sisters, Jeannet Holton of Bayboro, NC and Brenda Townley of James City, NC; seven grandchildren; twelve step grandchildren; seven great grandchildren;new brothers & sisters, Sam Jones, Donald Jones, Gail West, Terry Moody, Jerry Jones, Mary Cash, Roger Jones.
He attended Broad Creek Christian Church, belonged to the F&AM Grantham Lodge #725 in James City, NC. He loved his family, fishing, hunting, and the outdoors.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home.
